clutch rigging??

i need to remove my clutch basket of my 2004 400ex, i dont want to waste my money on a clutch basket holder tool, is there anything else you can use to hold it still?? will an oil filter wrench work? ANY INPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED! THANKS

Stick a shop rag or something soft between the drive gears. It'll hold the basket and you can just spin it backwards to get the rag out.
