I have an 87 250x. While cleaning my carb i found that i have a #130 main jet and a #38 slow jet. The book says when it is stock it should have a #125 main with the clip on the 3rd slot and a #35 slow. I have only owned the quad for about 6 months so i don't really know to much about it. as far as i know it is all stock except for the breather box is vented with some holes and i think the exhaust is aftermarket. So i wanted to know if my jetting is correct?

Thanks

Slightly larger jets are probably appropriate with a drilled airbox and aftermarket exhaust.

Getting the jetting just right takes some time. Check your plug, if it's a light tan color, then you're probably fine.

The good folks at Jets R Us have a nice guide that I've used.

It's usually best to err on the side of being slightly rich... you'll lose a little power, but IMHO, that's better than running too lean and destroying your motor.
