Second gear slipping??

Second gear keeps spinning and grinding!! Every other gear works good but when I put it in second it just makes a loud grinding noise! If i feather the clutch and dont let it all the way out it will move in second gear but as soon as I let go of the clutch all the way is slips again! BAH!

Anyone have an idea what it might be? maybe the clutch needs to be changed? Im hoping its not a syncro or the gears themself...

This has nothing to do with your clutch. Either some dogs are messed up or the teeth on the gear is broke. You have to tear the engine down completely to fix this. The tranny is the last thing to come out and the first thing to go in. U can prolly get a whole tranny on ebay for the price of the part to fix it.

yea that will be your gear dogs wearing down and prolly the colars under the gears.
