yea thats a lie the 3800s DO NOT run very strong. your gonna get made fun of everywhere you go. go on craigslist and search "lt1" you should be able to find an older trans am/firebird/camaro for under $5,000. most people will be happier with an uglier 5.7 than a nicer 3.8.

Not sure how old you are but i would look at insurance first, yeah you can get an lt1 car for 5k, but if you pay 2k a year in insurance whats the point since you pay more in insurance in three years then the car is worth.

What I pay for insurance in one year is about 2x the worth of my car :(. My car isnt fast at all either. Lesson of the day kids, don't get in accidents.

My friend picked up an extremely nice LT1 Camaro for $4800. I'm with everyone else, look for an LT.

The 3.8 is a super durable motor and does get good gas mileage. (Our old beater bonneville gets damn near 30 highway) But will NEVER be as fun as an LT1.

I have a 93 LT1 and think you would love it. The 6-speeds awesome. Look for one, you won't be dissapointed.
