Question for Pappy. Need an opinion on camera.

Ive noticed you are quite the photographer and I figured I would ask you before I made the jump and bought this camera. It is a Sony A-200. It retails for $599 but is on sale at a local store in my area for $297. It seems like a killer deal to me anyways but i would like your opinion and anyone else that may have some good knowledge on these cameras. I am completely new to the DSLR scene so any info would be great. Thanks in advance.

I really dont follow consumer models except a few, and this isnt one I know anything about:p

I would recommend hitting up a few sites like www.dpreview.com and several others and search what they say about them. The price is right and for getting started it should be fine but sometimes too good to be true is just that and you end up with a POS and an empty wallet :p The reviews on most big photosites are pretty reliable.
