Shock specs

I have a set of Elka that are standard travel. What is the distance from upper shock mount to rear? on both front and rear. I want to know if I need to order new ones? they are off a blaster stock a-arm travel. if they fit I can just revalve mine and save some$$$$$

well if they were off a blaster with standar travel they are about 14 inches long.....400ex are about 17 inches long......those arent the EXACT measure measure ments but there the basics with out gettin in to halfs and quarter inches and what not

you dont want to put blaster shocks on a ex, the ex shocks get put on blasters to give them more wheel travel and cush. the shorter shocks will only work for you if you never hit bumps, maybe drag racing or flat trackin, set as stiff as they go or you will constantly bottom them out. id just try to sell the blaster shocks and buy a nice set of used 450r shocks. you should get more out of a set of elkas than you pay for a nice set of 450 shocks. i just sold a set of basic elkas for 350 and got the 450r shocks off a 08(new takeoffs) for 150 shipped. i found the 450 shocks even make the elkas look bad. lol
