after not owning an atv since 1993(raced 250r in mx A class in N.E./NY,then switched to 2wheel MX) got nostalgic and bought a 88 250X from Ebay($600) with an "engine noise",otherwise nice shape. after a $26 dollar fix(found noise to be failed cam bearing, replaced both) been rid'in it and its been great, but have a slight oil weep from top end, traced to area from behind spark plug.any ideas, anybody else had this happen?i think head must have a small crack in a non visable area.

Did you use Hondabond on the rocker arm cover or head when going back together with it? If so then your rocker arm cover maybe a little warpt or it could also be the head.So take a long file and run across one or the other and see if the file shows scrapes across the hole thing if not keep doing untill it does. After all that put it back together and use hondabond.Hope this can help!

yea, i used yamabond, and even took cam/rocker off and did it again with no difference.however its coming from the passage behind the spark plug, not the cam/rocker cover itself. i may have to do a complete disassembly to get to the bottom of this one, hate to take it apart though as the leak is so small, just anoying.
