View Full Version : Burgard bearing carrier...no O-rings?

I just received my bearing carrier and comparing it to the stock one, I noticed that there are no grooves for o-rings where the ends meet the swing arm openings. However there is a groove where the caliper bracket slides on but no o-ring.

Is this something to worry about?

Also, is this a "twin row"carrier? The actual width of the bearing surface (bearing race?) appears to be narrower than stock by a few millimeters.

I know, I should have asked these questions prior to purchasing...live and learn:(

I"ve got one..just fill the sucka up with grease, spray some WD-40 in the swinarm were it's goin and install the SOB.,,you won't see any o-rings on the outside of it like the stocker has. ;)

Thanks, Rico.

Do you know if it's a twin row? The bearings look smaller than the stock.

Yeah it's a dual row carrier..but if we keep the thing greased up regularly with fresh grease,,we shouldn't have to worry about bearings for a couple years i'd say..:D
