and a little advise, dont ride it like it was stock

when i got my 440 done, i pulled out of the driveway on the road... tromped on it like i normally would, put the grab bar into the pavement lol

Anybody have any jetting reccomendtions. I'm about 1000 ft. about see level. Think I'm going to start with a 180 - 182 jet.

I'm also taking out my Sparks advice timing key. If anybody intrested let me know. Will sell it cheap. Will have no use for it.

i just built a 416 this week and i have a modded header slip on and open air box with a dj 160 and its still rich

Got motor back together this weekend. Runs great spend a few hours breaking it in on the ice. What a difference. Can't wait till really open her up.

I have a quick question.....Im looking at a 416ex with a stage 2 cam and a 12:1 piston, ported and polished head, stage 2 hot cam, new timing chain, K&N air cleaner, HMF full exhaust, barnett clutch...I rode it and was not that impressed how would I be able to tell if all this work was done without opening the motor up??

Never really know till you open it up. Have a friend that bought one for his son. He ice races this thing and he fly's. He said the guy he bought it form was all stock. Hard to believe but will never know till he opens it up. If you aleast take off your head cover you should see if it has a hot cam in it.

Ok thanks guys...I have ridden a worked z440 with a stage 2 cam and I could noticeably hear the cam compared to stock and when I heard the Ex I could not hear it...so basically I am probably going to get screwed unless I make him open the motor up?

I would have to agree. I can hear the difference on my new rebuild.
