I am in the process of making of an 18L fuel tank, I'll keep you informed. I have already done one, just making some minor adjustments...

there is room to expand the tank ever so slightly that could result in a another 1/2-3/4 gal. None of the main mfgs want to invest in the quad though.
Clarke and IMS would be the ones to do it but have no plans to.

I believe Warnert Racing has a quick fill adaptor to add to the stock tank that gives another 1/2 gal. You may want to call them about it.
