Someone Please Help!!!

I just got a 05 trx450r and it wont start because it just pours gas out of the overflow. Like if the gas petcock is on all the gas will come right out of the overflow!! Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

could be the needle and seat. hanging up it has happened to me once

would that cause a whole tank of gas to pour out pretty quick?

i wouldnt say "quick" your talkin about the over flow on the carb right?

yes the little tube that comes out of the bottom.

tap the bowl of the carb with the handle of a screw driver and see if it stops the float is probaly stuck

ok... well here is what you need to do. pull the carb off and be carefull to make sure you unplug everything and not break anything. if you can get the tank and plastics off it makes it alot nicer to work around. break the screws loose that hold the bowl onto the carb. when you get the bowl off you will see the float. there is a little rod looking piece that the bowl rest on. that is the needle. it should move with the float. sometimes they stick

yes you can do that also

Alright thanks Im gonna go out there now and try tapping it to see if it stops if not ill have to pull the carb off tomorrow.

Yea I just tried tapping it and that deffinetly didnt work... So basically something is just stuck its nothing really serious?

more then likely its something to do with the carb
