The 250R did great, me on the other hand?? lol This race was with FTR in Myakka, FL. It was cold, ice was falling just before the race started.

I ran the standard 32:1 and never got the dampener installed. The ruts and roots beat me up!

You didn't stand a chance running stock shocks.
They are brutal and will wear you out FAST.

He is right about your shocks, upgrade those and you won't believe the difference.

raced over half a season with stock shocks last year. After I hit a bump and got thrown over the hill about the 3rd or 4th time the R hit me rolling down the hill i decided I needed to upgrade. Came back to that same track with $100 works shocks and a cheap steering stabilizer from ebay and pulled off my first 2nd place finish of the year.

I have two R’s. The one you see was never meant to be raced. This is my son’s trail quad, the race quad is getting an over haul with a new top end and frame gussets. We wanted to race together so this was my only option. There’s another race in two weeks, with any luck I will have the race machine ready. (or at least I will switch shocks!)
