hello everyone like it says im getting ready to do a complete engine overhaul i got bit by having no chain gaurd{thousand mile drive to pick this thing up was tired when i looked it over and never thought to look again until it was too and no i didnt drive just to get the quad we had family close by haha} so i got the new left case and figured i might as well do the top end while ive got her torn down {big bore kit 71mm wiseco piston should displace around 285 im told} i have all new gaskets new crank bearings and seals carb rebuilt kit and cables im wondering how to check if my reeds are still good and if there are any tips or pointers you guys could give me i have a manual but i know real life experience can some times by better so any help at all would be greatly appreciated ill be startin this project weekend
