I still cannot figure out which route i want to take on the rebuild!!! I want to turn my 400 into a fast woods trail bike. I want to be reliable though. I currently have stage 2 hotcam hmf slip on and 450r carb.
Which should i go with to be the fastest and reliable?

416 would be great for the woods and you would have more bores left if something happens to it. 11:1 would go great with the stage 2, 450 carb, and the hmf you have already. I suggest getting an hd cam chain along with valve seals also to finish off the build, also you could do some porting and polishing to finish it off. 426 may rev a bit faster but would possibly make a bit more heat and cause a problem in the woods in my opinion. steve

I wouldn't bore it any more times than necessary. It's not worth the small amount of hp. Like said above, if something happens you will have some bores left.
