Price of plastics 300 vs 400

Man, after doing a search on the price of new factory plastics, I leaning towards trying the 400 plastics on my 300. Prices for the 300 plastics are around $150 for each front L & R , and over $250 for the rears. The fenders for the 400 can be had for around $60-$65 dollars a piece front and rear. At that price you could buy 4 sets of plastic for the 400. You can even throw in new side panels and gas tank cover for another $80 and have a new set of plastics for $200 bucks as compared to the $550. Why is there such a difference in price between the two? Anyone have any insight into this?:confused:

there are more 400ex's out there, which means there is more demand for the plastics, which i think lowers the price, and the 400ex stuff is all made in america, which also lowers the price alot.:confused:

The reason that the 300ex plastics is so much more is because the 300ex is made in japan and the 400ex in made here in the states. They don't have to pay the import taxs on the 400ex stuff.:)

not to mention shipping the stuff, shipping plastic aint cheap at all.:mad:
