Will the top end of the KTM 690 or larger bolt onto 525 RSF motor's.

Just to add to my original post, I am looking at the 570 big bore kit from Thumper Racing (stage 3 cam, porting, mega bomb head pipe and boreing the carb.), but I heard that KTM has top ends from some of their other bikes that would bolt on the 525 RFS motors. I was hopeing someone could give me some input on this.

Ok thanks OutlawBill, What do you think of the 570 BB and the othere stuff I mentioned from Thumper racing?

At polaris riders .com there was a guy who just did a test on the megabomb header compared to the stock header all on a dyno. It sucks. The only pro that they had to say about it was a tad bit quieter.

I just didn't want to see you waste your money.

What pipe are you going with? Also how big are you making your carb?

I heard that anything past 42 mm has a negative effect.

IRS or S?

I have heard that an aftermarket header just don't add that much performance for the money. So I am leaning towards staying with stock. I have the FMF 4.1 slipe on, and like how it runs. As far as the carb Thunder Racing suggested going to 41 mm.
Also, it is the IRS, JD jetting kit and I modified the airbox some. I truely don't need any more power but, boys will be boys, its just fun to have more then you need. But a person wants to do it right the first time so thats why I was looking for everyone's idea's on what they thought would be best.
