Can't wait to watch. I think its gonna be:

Stewart
Reed
Villipoto

I hope Short does well though. He's a good guy and has his head on straight. Also want to see Jlaw do good, just for the lulz :p

trey canard will win 250 West lites championship in my opinion, not through mass amounts of wins but through consistancy

atveric132
01-09-2010, 10:10 AM
i think reed will take it.....with him coming off the outdoor championship he has all the confidence in the world.....idk ganna be good

J-LAW!

in all seriousness, i think Stewart will be up front but i think J-law is going to surprise a ton of people, he's got the talent and now his head on straight, although I've always been a j-law supporter

250r rider 88
01-09-2010, 10:30 AM
j law looked great out at the yamaha track video i seen, hes determined and dedicated now, top 5 for sure, but it is Anaheim 1 and anything can happen

01-09-2010, 11:55 AM
VILLOPOTO!!!!

Jim417mx
01-09-2010, 01:09 PM
Stewart is going to crash just like last year, he doesnt ride smooth under pressure.

Sooo my 1.2.3 is Reed, Villapoto, Jlaw

F-16Guy
01-09-2010, 02:35 PM
Relatively speaking, I'm an old fart, so I'd like to see Windham surprise everyone with a win.

My prediction:

Stewart and J-Law crash each other out and --

1) Windham
2) Reed
3) Villipoto

i think that windham has the exsperience and talent to win any race but i dont think he has the pure speed to hang with reed and stewart or villopoto anymore

k4f5x0r
01-09-2010, 04:53 PM
lolz, and J-law and i quote " i know im faster then dungey, he just puts the work in and i dont"

01-09-2010, 05:35 PM

01-09-2010, 06:37 PM
Wait, how are you guys watching it? The live event isn't until 10pm...?

01-09-2010, 06:44 PM
click the link i supplied it has live results from practice

Dungy was .050 off stewart!! Lawrence was about 4 secs off witch is respectable for only having a week of training before Anaheim

You guys have to remember it's just practice, they are not going to be pushing themselves hard at all. When push comes to shove, and someones gaining on their rear, they're going to turn in much different/faster times.

In my opinion the practice lap times don't mean a damn thing. Only the race itself will tell.

This is going to be the most insane race ever for so many reasons.

01-09-2010, 07:12 PM
you cant count practice laps much. but dungy is on a mission! Most people dont come to close to stewart in practice

2nd aint nothing to be bummed about, Canard had a good race but jake had the start. SHould be good racing all year long between those two!

They need to quit yapping and start the main event!

Was a great race but I wanted to see reed take it , so much for his season , he has a long long season ahead now!
Dungey ran great til he spun , that was his end!
I just do NOT like bubba!

01-09-2010, 11:31 PM
Awesome race!!!!

BUT I think Stroupe needs to be taken out of the 450 class before he hurts someone. He races lites and needs to stay there for now.

Was intense though! Chad Reed had a few select words :p ...and major props to Dungey! Glad Short did well also!

man those suzukis are rippin, dungey looked amazing.
And I know that if he didn't make a mistake
it was gonna be close. Would have been awesome
to see dungey beat mr. Perfect straight up.

A buch of races will be CBS I think this year
so if you don't have speed you can still
catch a bunch of races.

Can't wait to watch it again on dvr without the
commercials and without fighting to stay awake.lol

Next week will really tell the tale for Dungy in terms of his conditioning. He now has to physically recover and prepare for the next race all at once. Hope he is up for it.

Was definitely an exciting race for a change. I thought Stewart was going to play it safe with 2nd and then I thought for sure Dungy wasn't going to attempt that last lap rally. Good stuff. Glad to see Windham on the podium but he and the rest of the field were so far back. Looks like it will be a battle between Stewart, Reed, and Dungy.

Yeah the only thing they said about him was "he....just.....got........out......of............. .JAIL."

lmao... Anyone remember when they said that?

but his only goal was to finish the race. At least he gave it a shot so he knows where he stands.

I was hoping they'd do more rider interviews. They could have done more interviews and still knocked 30 minutes off the show if they didn't include random crap like Dave Despain talking about the history of his broadcasting.

i was amazed to see dungey ride that well..that last lap attack was terrific, he was really tearing it up...so happy to see chad reed lose haha just wish he could have lost straight up rather than having to pull off the track...he didnt look too good in the heat anyways...

BLU82
01-10-2010, 09:55 AM
Even though J-law did'nt finish I still think it was huge on his part to even try. Imagine not riding for four months then showing up to biggest race of the year. I doubt even Stewart would finish the race after taking four months off to just sit around. And I feel bad for Reed whose night was ruined by a lites class rider who was just pushed into the big bikes to ride as a fill in. But Kevin Windham!!!! So awesome to see him on the podium!!

ryan243
01-10-2010, 09:57 AM
lites rider or not, racing is racing, the holeshot is the hairiest part of the race and if you don't get a good jump, bad things can happen...

Yeah that's true and Reed could've got a better jump but I think a rider who is more experienced with the big bikes would'nt have bounced around so much. He was all over the place, made pretty good contact with atleast three bikes and there's a difference between touching another rider in the holeshot which is inevitable and hitting someone in a way that will hinder there position.

ryan243
01-10-2010, 10:13 AM
yea dont get me wrong, stroupe had his hands full with that bike and a vet doesnt make mistakes like that, but you gotta start somewhere on the 450, its inevitable that you are gonna have some young guys in there that cant handle it no matter what round you are at. chad needs to step it up, i didnt think he looked good at all in the heat and he just wasnt on top of things in the gate at all. bad holeshots dont equal championships

more rider interviews? took forever for the race to start as it was maybe if they didnt have so much bs before the race i would have been able to stay up for the whole thing. haha

yellowzo3
01-10-2010, 11:16 AM
Yeah man but I said they should have got rid of the BS they had in there also. That would cut down so much time. I couldn't believe that was 3 1/2 hours long I was dozing off every 5 seconds until the 450 main. They should have interviewed Jlaw, Short, a better interview with Reed and just asked everyone (well the main guys at least) what they think the season is going to be like and so on.

No one cared about Dave Despain, watching McGrath talking on the track for 5 minutes, Chad Reed showing his track for 5 minutes, Jimmie Johnson talking about riding dirtbikes in 1980... all that adds up, ya know?

But you're right man, I'm on the east coast too and I was wondering to myself if anyone else was not going to make it till the end :p ...I understand it was live but COME ON 1:30 am? lol

At least it starts at 6pm next week.

I went to bed and watched it this morning...I pretty much can't watch anything live anymore. Once you have a DVR, it is hard to go back. Live television is a waste of 33% of your time.

He said himself that his goal was to just race Anaheim, then another time he said that he thought'd he would be good for about 10 laps.

He's going to take one or two races off now and focus on training, come back and surprise alot of people
