has anyone seen a yellow/black YFZR? ive been wondering if and when they would produce one. i love the yellow 06 like mine its very diff and not as common as the blue and white bikes.

maybe this time next season i can retire the 06 for a practice bike and be building a 09 or 2010 yfzr. and 90% i will make it yellow.

post pics if anyone has them of yellow 09's

HOW ABOUT you do that with yellow fronts and black rears??? and make the front shrouds black instead of white....that would look nice offset colors.

id be willing to bet that with a big enough tub, enough RIT dye, and enough time, id be willing to bet you could dye the white plastics to your liking... In R/C you can dye the nylon composite plastic parts any color RIT makes by boiling water, pouring in the dye, letting it dissolve and then setting the plastics (or part of the plastics) into the water while it is still hot and let it sit for about 20 mins and it should be dyed.. i dyed some parts from red to black on my R/C truck in about 20 mins. note that you can only dye darker.. just an option i guess haha. it would be hard boiling that much water though..

Where do you get that die at? How much does is cost about? How much material does it cover?

LOL, you can get RIT dye at your local Walmart on the shoe polish isle. If it's not there, try the laundry detergent isle. RIT dye is mainly intended for dying shirts & stuff. LOL

yeah i know that it is intended for clothing/cloth etc.. but it will dye plastic if it is the right type of plastic. it might have to be nylon composite type of plastic, but i am not sure. it may work for regular plastic, but probably not. thats why i am not sure if it will indeed work for the quad plastics. also, i would not recommend dying big parts unless you have a way to boil enough water, get enough dye and fit the plastic/part fully submerged into the tub or whatever you use all before the heat gets away. If it were me i wouldnt try dying them because in the end it might not even work. just a suggestion though. I can give you a link to my experience with dying nylon composite plastic parts from red to black and grey to black, but i dont think it will be any help..

The Special Editions are pretty cool looking, but no Yellow/Black - the SE YFZR is a midnight blue with tribal......black swingarm - looks pretty B.A.!

Just the visuals - except for the cool little cam locks that hold the plastic on - those are pretty cool! The 2010 YFZR's come with the same mapping as the YFZX, by the way - which is a little different than the 2009 YFZR - I believe it gives a little more low end punch.
