heard it really helps the 400ex. any write ups? or any other flywheels that will fit?

I’ve herd you will loose your low end that way. Good for drags but not mx.

Nah, you don't gain or lose any power. Since the flywheel is slightly lighter, it just finds what power you do have a bit quicker, making it feel like you gained some hp on the "butt dyno". Some guys love it, some guys hate it. Not sure if the XR400 flywheel will fit, or if its any different??

there is a thread on here about converting it to a kickstart will give a good gain in power. i read through it and it sounds legit.

I could be wrong but I read somewhere that making the flywheel lighter will make it stall out in corners because you will lose low end torque.

how would u get hp from having a kick start. u might loose some weight

lighter flywheel = less weight on crank = quicker rev. only difference it makes is that. i prefer quicker revving engines, but its up to you.

i under stand that but you can just shave the fly wheel and get the same power with e start

rotating weight is free horsepower, especially when the weight it attached to the crank. its like putting a lighter rear tire on the bike.
