hey guys the choke on my 400 doesnt seem to work. it works in the cold to start it but the engine doesnt idle up and dies it takes my probly 10 times before i get it to were im holding the throttle at 1/4 for a couple mins than it runs good off choke. what could be wrong? the motor is stock except a uni-air filter and stock jetting

but even in the summer the choke doesnt idle the motor up like it does on my bro's 450r is that just the carb design?

different setup on the 450's all 400ex's are cold blooded, thats why you up the pilot jet to a 42 and adjust your air screw, then it will start up good

i got my air/screw out 2 and half turns out, every quads different so give or take and thats after you turn the screw all the way in, if you have a 05 up just take a pair of needle noses and take it out all the way, take a hacksaw and put a cut in it so you can use a screw driver
