Okay so, SUI is State Unemployment Insurance, and SDI is State Disability Insurance. You're required to pay that. Yes it's a small amount of your total check, but mine went up 34% in one year!

How is this calculated? My pay did not increase, so I wonder how the calculate it?

Last year it was a $0.98 deduction out of my pay. This year it's $1.31. Yeah, $0.33, big whoopie! But, that's a huge percentage increase...

Anyone know the math/meaning behind this tax?

Not sure if indiana is in the same boat, but just got my first 2010 paycheck. Im salaried so nothing should have changed from 09-10 cause my pay didn't, but somewhere along the lines about $2.15 is missing. I'll have to examine closer.
