updated plastics

Hey all, I just got done rebuilding my 2000 400ex from ground up. Powder coated, 426 build.....you know the rest. Runs great but still looks like a old 400ex. I saw some post about it but no definative replies. Send some PM but didn't hear back from anyone. Did anyone ever put on new 400ex plastics? The frames from 99-2004 look the same as the 2005-2008. Wondering if anyone has pics or info on it. Thanks.

from what I read, you just have to have the brackets from a 05-08 bike

the only difference in the frame is where the 05 headlight mounts, you have to grind the bracket for the headlight a little to fit around where connectors are, all fender brackets are the same, there is one other bracket the holds the fenders apart, mine is a 99 with 05 front plastic, i can take and pm pics later if ya want

its still gonna look lie any old 400 then just with new plastics. lmao why dont you look into mounting up some 250r plastics. ive seen 250r's with red 400ex plastics on it. or you could do like your own thing with the ex plastics and make your own look. i saw a lt250r with flames cut in the edges of the fenders and stuff it was pretty unique and real nice looking. durable? NO, but whatever. just a suggestion.

you like your new style fenders i sold you??? yes, thank you, also thanx for throwing in the extra 99-04 headlight wiring so I did'nt have to cut mine for the plug, I ended up buying another 05 headlight w/bulbs and wiring for $1 off ebay...the fenders cleaned up nice and I did shave them a little more, the mailman commented on your packaging, they did'nt know what to think at the post office..haha

was that the older stock seat and rear fender also? Looks like an easy fit over all.

the rear fenders are the 99's, the seat I bought new from Honda of Troy off ebay for like 80 bucks, had to get the red seat off there, also I put my key where the reverse switch would be, turned out nice

I wonder why they quit selling that exhaust. Propally cuz its louder then the regulations. My buddy had the Alien on his raptor 660, and WOW soooo LOUD. We made him ride in the back of us, we couldnt hear our quads run..
