400ex choke problem

hey guys went out today ice racing and after 4 or 5 laps my choke would vibrate on, so it would start to sputter pop etc. has anyone else had this problem? i jimmy riged it for the day by zip tieing it but i want to fix the problem thanxs

remove the choke and adjust your pilot jet accordingly, most use a 42 pilot. these have a real restrictive choke and respond a little better without it anyhow. mine starts good in the 10 degree temps in northern michigan without a choke. i just have to pump the gas 3 or 4 times and it fires right up. i also use the 42 pilot jet.

yea i was thinking about doing that. how u like ur 440 with the mods u have listed?
