View Full Version : do +1 a-arms need extended brakelines?

Putting +1 a-arms on my 06 450r and wanted to know if i could get away with using my stock lines or if i have to buy extended? thanks

My buddy put +2s on his 07 450R and the stock lines worked fine.

If you're on a budget the stock lines work fine. Steel-braided are nice, though. They will give you a better feel at the lever and they definately look much better.

x2 ... if you got the money get the steel-braided lines. i'm using streamline's 2 line setup right now.

Yep, definitely worth it. And if you do get the stainless braided lines make sure to ask the manufacturer if they run on the long side. I put +2 Galfer SS lines on my +2 arms and I had a ton of slack left. Then I switched to +3 arms with the same +2 lines and I still have some slack to deal with.

about how much for ss brakelines in front? $100? and would i order +1? i guess i might as well get them, put too much $$$ into it at this point to start half as*ing it
