i too have rebuilt one. You just need to take your time. its very simple actually.
they are simple. I believe ECA or K&K can rebuild them for cheap if you want.

Just buy a kit, it is very simple and they usually come with instructions. All you need is some snap ring pliers and patience.

I think stabilizers may be like a 5w.
My question is how to take apart a PEP rebuildable stabby.They don't have snap rings like the Gibson type.

I think the ends unscrew. I won't know for sure without seeing it.

it will leak, or doesn't have any resistance when moved in and out anymore.
