looking at 01 ds 650

hey guys looking at an 01 ds 650 woundering what i should look for ... and what they are worth ... i am all new to the atv side of things ... thanks all for the the help ...

I would look and make sure that everything looks like it is in good condition. Check and see if there is play in the rear axle.Check the bushings in the front end and see if they need replaced. Start the engine and listen for abnormal noises. Make sure to look over the frame and make sure the frame isn't cracked, the handlebars aren't bent, etc.

what is some thing like this worth in fair good and exclent shape... might be tradeing my burban for it ... lol dont want to lose to much lol...

I looked up the retail for it and it says $2,395.00 I'd say it is probably worth around $1,900.00

Depends how much the burban means to you. Haha. I don't know if you have ever driven one of these but they are fast and fun machines, but weigh as much as a tank.

the 650's are fun quads $1950 is a little to high imo i had a 200? yellow ds 650 with a full alba exhaust ac nerfs and aftermarket lights and new tires i couldn't get $1500 for it depends on how much you want a ds really

dam that's badaZZ what kinda riding do you plan on doing
if it were me i'd look more towards a honda 400ex yfz 450 or 04-05 honda 450r

i do have a 04 450 honda a guy wants to trade too lol... i am clue less about this stuff i think i am more of a UTV kinda guy 4x4 mudd... but i will take what i can get lol...

here is what it is 04 honda trx450r with a big bore kit to a 480cc after market cam,HMF exhaust

you'd probly be better off on the 450r just see if the crank or crank bearings have been replaced and just check the normal stuff

well i can now move to the honda forum part i got it ...
