local autozones should take it, and i know for oil im not sure about coolant, that any repair facility by law is required to dispose of it for you, in PA anyway.

Earth, good point. Makes you wonder what they do with it huh, and where it actually ends up. You bring your coolant to Jiffy Lube and then they pay someone to come and pick it up and then what do they do with it? Hopefully sell it to Prestone and the other coolant manufacturers who can recycle it? Of course they still charge full price for it, all a part of their big plan....ahahhhah

Ya so, Jiffy Lube will take it off your hands.

My local dump (transfer station) takes it. You might check there as well.

Used oil goes in one drum, used coolant in another.

Easy for me since we don't have a town trash pickup and I go to the dump each week anyways.

Most places like jiffylube and monroe service centers filter the stuff and add glycol addidtives to it to bring it back to knew little of it goes to waste. The oil gets filtered and burnt down to make greases and heavier oils by the manufacturers.

Thats good to know most of it isn't going to waste.

Do any of you guys have a parts washer in your garage? I have one, and use it occasionally. Mainly in the winter when the bikes are torn down. I've seemed to accumulated some simple green/oil/grease/partswasherfluid gallon jugs behind it. Where do you get rid of this stuff?:eek2:
