Helping a friend mod his sons 06 90 predator...removed oil injection and added a clamp on UNI filter...any suggestion for carb settings? (Main, Pilot Air/fuel screw) Also what is a good starting point with those mods for rollers weights and rear clutch spring? Should he change rear sprocket size too? thanks for your help in advance...

Are you running a aftermarket pipe? Or just changing the filter? If just changing the filter try going up 7 points on your main jet and see where that puts you. Do a plug chop to see how your running to rich or to lean?? Let us all know thanks.

I believe you will be alright. If you are running the stock pipe you should be ok. Ill help you threw any questions you have.

ok he added an FMF slip on pipe and rejetted the carb...problem now is it can't make it up steep hills? takes off great...very snappy...any ideas? time for clutch work?

What size main is stock? Is the main the only jet that needs to be changed when going to a UNI filter? Was looking to change the reeds also. Just trying to find somebody that has results from minimal mods done. I do not want to go with a pipe.

you have 2 jets. I moved up on both. But i also made mor changes to a 110cc cylinder.

I think the pilot is a 25. Anybody know what the stock main is for the pred 90 and how many sizes do you go up from there (for a starting point) when adding the UNI or K&N filter? I have heard 7 sizes but that sounds like alot. I have been wrenching on snowmobiles for years and usually when I switch a sled over to air filters or mod the airbox I usually only take the mains up 2 or 3 sizes. But this is a quite a bit smaller engine so I have no idea.

the stock main jet should be 82.5
air pilot 25.
try a 90 or a 95 main .air pilot should be fine.raise the needle if you get a flat spot in at 1/4 to 1/2 throatle.
