I'm lookin to get my wire harness gutted, anybody know of a place that does a good job? good price? I want just whats needed to run, plus the headlights and key switch. I wouldnt mind trying myself if I can get a diagram but I'd rather have someone do it.
thanks

heres my harness its the best ive ever saw and very affordable

basic kick start harness with only basic esseintials to run $50 every additional item u add it $5 like key/tether kill/fan/lights/etc. keep in mind if u want lights of fan u got to have the capacitor kit from gytr. or ur stator wont let ur bike run right it pulls to much power from the stator without the capacitor. if u want ur harness done like mine pm me ill give u the info u need.

mine was the best 50 bucks ive spent on my bike.

thanks

here is the info. copied from the guys post

Kickstart Harness
- Base price: $45
- Basic kickstart harness with only essential wiring and components
- Key switch included to replace kill switch and for security, -$5 w/o key
- ALL connections are soldered and covered with heat shrink tubing
- Turnaround time typically 2-4 days

Electric Start Harness
- Base price: $55
- Similar to kickstart harness, but keeps electric start system
- Also keeps stock start button, charging system, fuse

Additional components:
- $5 and up each, depending on complexity
- Cooling fan
- Headlights
- Warning lights
- Tail light
- TORS
- Diodes
- Starter cut-off relay
- etc...

Protective loom:
- $5 for a base kickstart harness
- $8 for base electric start harness
- +$1 for each additional component
- Provides protection for the harness
- Makes the harness look very professional and neat
- Standard color is black
- Special colors: red, yellow, blue, purple, white, teal, chrome

Customization:
- Adjust for relocated components
- Toggle switches for cooling fan or headlights
- Capacitor kits
- YZ kill/tether switches
- Change function of stock switches/lights
-- (Example: using "off-run" switch for cooling fan, start switch as kill switch, etc)
- Extra power wires for external components(NOS, neons, etc...)
- Battery connections for aftermarket CDI's
- etc...

Reasons to gut your harness:
- Removes unnecessary wires, connectors, tape, straps
- Saves weight!!!
- Makes the bike look a lot cleaner
- Easier to diagnose and track down problems
- Easier to work on the bike around the harness
- Easier to remove the harness if necessary

All new harnesses are built on the computer before being made. All harnesses are essentially rebuilt from the ground up, very few factory connections are kept. All you need to send me is your main harness, none of the components. You can also remove the stock tape and covering for a discount. Shipping is free to continental US.
