just ripped the side cover off the other night, and found some shavings in my oil. SO i split the cases that night, and found out i need new 2nd and 3rd gears. Talk about a kick to the junk:(

u can see here i had to drill and put in some grease fittings into the swinger. Worked out nice. SO now i can grease the bearings, and since i drilled small holes in the Bolt, i stil have to close up the ends and put a grease fitting on the bolt, but i will be able to grease the sleeves too. so no more having to bust your balls trying to get that bolt out!

thats awful purdy, except for that grimmy axel:p , would i be able to put grease fittings on a stock 400 swingarm. Also if i did, would it weaken the swingarm.

yeah u could do it to a stock swingarm. You would have to be pretty careful when u tap the new holes, because it is aluminum and will strip easy. But yeah, anywhere like i did mine will work, becuase there is alot of room to work with. But u have to make sure u dont drill where the bearings go, or it wont take any grease. Im gonna sand the axle and clear coat it. see if it stayed any better lookin. Was gonna get a Lonestar but the whole tranny thing set me back a few hundred:(

Thats a really good idea with the grease fitting for your bearings. I never seen anything like that before :huh . When do you plan to have this all done by?

well my tranny parts are supposed to be in tomorrow. So hopefully ill be able to have the motor dropped back in the frame by friday. Then its just a matter of the easy things. Subframe, electricals, etc. But then i gotta setup the front end, and that might take some time to get it dialed in just right
