I know you have to be 16 to race, right? Well do you just have to be 16 or have a license? I'll turn 16 in May, but won't get my license until November, so will I be able to race in a sanctioned event? I want to try and do some XC, maybe a little MX.

Some non sanctioned tracks let people race who are under 16. I know one of the tracks I race at does and then for the ama we just lied about our age.

If they ask for your birth certificte say you didnt know you needed one, and the next race white it out and put down 1986 or w/e makes you 16 or 17 and photocopy it, looks like it was real. haha

The track I race at requires you to be 16. I'm only 14, so I just had my dad sign up for Super Senior, 400B, and Open B. I wonder if they got suspicious when the same guy DNFed Super Senior, but came in 7th and 9th in 400B and Open B.. :D

The AMA had a rule change that says if your 15 or 15 you can race the sport or amatuer class at AMA events, with quads such as 300ex, blasters, warriors, etc., the only stipulation is that you must be seated on the quad and your hands on the bars with a bend in your elbows and when standing you need a few inches between you and the seat
