piston and rings

I ordered a piston and rings 52mm my old piston had 2 rings on it the new one I ordered has 1 is this correct? Its a 90cc polaris 2 stroke.

the new one is a race piston ,,will work fine just less friction,make sure the arrow points down .

In short no,but most pistons working with high rev hyper tuning cylinders and set ups are single ring,intermidiate and lower tune may still use 2 and same with torque kits.
