haha, your going to get so many different answers, it really depends how you ride and price range also. Ive personally had good experience with Belray thumper 20w50, but now im using ELF full syn. ATV 10w50 oil on both sides and its been looking good. i hate the honda red bottle for trans, i always lost nuetral and had like no clutch halfway through motos. ive tried a ton of oil and the Elf is really workign well

Check this out, I love the HP tranny fluid. Eastside is correct.
My preference is going to be different than the next guy.
What ever brand you decide to use, change it often. :D

I have always had good luck with Repsol full synthetic, but it can be pricey. About 14.00 bucks a bottle. All depends on your budget I guess.

Go with the bel ray thumper or the exs superbike oil on both sides.

Ha...I have seen a thread like this one pop up a zillion times. Its a never ending cycle of every oil you can think of......however maybe it would be best to direct this thread more in the direction of "which oil should I stay away from?" If anyone has had some bad experience with some.

Oh....and btw....I use Maxima....lol (it has always worked really good for me)

i just use a conventional non energy conserving 10w40.. i work as a lab tech at a oil plant and i took a quart of gn4 10w40 in and it wasnt as good as our cheap 10-40, on a few minor test. i talked to a very well known engine builder that does many pro riders motors and he runs the cheapest 10w40 he can find. just keep it changed often and dont let it break down. and i wouldnt reconmend synthetics on the trans side, but like the others have said to each his own. i work with oil every single day and run plain 10w40 in every one of the over 20 machines i have owned over the years. works for me...

PS. our one sister plant packages oil for yama lube and the same oil we put in those quarts was the same oil that we packaged for some no name brand oils.. it was the same oil out of the same tank but one brand is $7 per quart and the other is $1. now i am not saying all oil is like this but a lot are. we do some work for fuch's and they ship thier own oil in and we package it seperate from any other oils.

Funny. I found it here http://www.mimag.com/atv_oils.htm but was unable to find a place to buy it. I did find a local dealer though. Will try there tommorow.

Honda's HP4 or GN4 on the left side and Run Honda's HP Trans oil in the tranny. Use Honda's coolant as well. If its made to run in their bike then why not put in there. Just wasting money running others. you just pay for the name. Especially when you are just gonna change after every couple rides.

I've been using Rotella the last few years, engine insides are still looking good.

I've also used the Honda oils, Belray, Amsoil.
Only thing diff I noticed between all of them is the price.

I'd run any oil as long as its not energy conserving, and doesn't have molly when using it in the trans side.
