ok, i dont really know what to do with what atv set up to run, i have a rolling mx 250r chassis just needs a motor and carb,
i also have a 400ex chassis... im workin on getting another Jp 250r chassis as well...

I'm not really sure what i should run for a motor, i have 3 choices, a yzf426, 250r, or something else.

the yzf would be in a 400ex chassis or one o the 250rs,

i really like the 250r motor but i would like to not have to race it, parts are getting harder and harder to get a hold of and things are really old, i would like to build up a 250r and have it as a show quad then race it unless some one started to reman some parts like cases...

i had a yzf400 in a 400ex chassis and i really like the motor, i just didnt want to spend the 4K to get the susp. to par with the motor, i had a good rear end but a os front... need something more and i would have got a LT set up...

What kind of racing are you doing? Imo I would sell both and buy a 450, but I assume your not into that idea judging by your post haha

i havnt found a 450r that is near a 250r so i want a 250r geo... the only 450 i would ever own is a yfz... but im not a big fan of how yamaha works the intakes and some other stuff on them, i like hondas set up when it comes to work on stuff thats why i would like to have the 250r geo chassis...

do you already have a 426 motor?

from the way you said it, it sounds like you would enjoy the hell out of it.

What do you mean you don't like the way the YFZ intake and other things are? If you mean there stock intake you could just buy an FCI or something... Sorry just curious what you mean. I have an ESR on it now and love it but am getting an aftermarket shock so the ESR wont fit. Going to be getting an FCI with 06 450r Uni filter.

no i dont like the intake as the air box and filter, and how that all is. the 04 batterys were really bad and im not sure how it was fixed...

i dont have a 426 but i have a buddy that has a 460 stroker that got off a guy on here... a yzf motor is cheaper thena 250r in most cases that i've seen...

Then get an 06+ and an intake. But a hybrid is sick if you actually get it done. Always nice to wow people.

id do the 426 i wish i would have done that instead of build my motor on the 400. Plus the 426 is a great motor IMO makes good power and reliable.
