Filtron makes them I believe. I'm still a tried and true user of paper filters. Some SS filters don't filter as good as the paper filters.

Same. I like the idea of SS filters, how you can clean and reuse them. But i'm pretty sure when it comes down to it, they don't filter as finely as paper (cellulose) filters.

I have ran one for three seasons. both my 400 and 450 had one. its nice knowing you can pull it out, spray it, stick it in.

I use a ready in my 400ex. Ive had it for the last two years with no problems at all... I just use some parts cleaner and let it dry and put it back in.. I like it

their supposed to filter even better.. i think 35 microns is what the ss go to, not sure what paper goes to? i like mine, it saved me about 150 bucks or so last year..

Looks like you're right, the paper filters go down to about 50 microns...

yea a pipe can filter to 50 microns with a beta ratio of 0. its all marketing. Im not saying there bad or good cause i honestly don't know. i have also noticed the lack of info on the filter boxes doesn't help. The biggest thing i learned is to try to find there efficiency because just cuz it says 50 micron doesn't mean its stops everything smaller then 50. i guess this is just more of a rant for me cause i hate how deceiving filter companies are.
