1/4 mile times.

i know some of you guys have had your quads on the strip, Whats your fastest time for the quarter mile?

i may be wrong, but i'm pretty sure most guys run 1/8th mile instead of 1/4 mi, cause in the 1/4 you would be tached out most of the way,,,some 1/8th mile times i've heard were like high 9's, if i remember right,,,

i found this,,,this was posted several monthes back,,,it may not be correct, but i bet it's in the ballpark,,,in the spring i'm gonna try to take my 400 to the drag strip (1/8th mi),,,later

Mine ran 15.7 in the quarter at 74 mph last summer. That was with stock gearing and an edelbrock carb.
I forget what the 1/8 mile time was but it was in the 8 or 9 second range. I was topped out before 1000'feet.
I had some more headwork done this winter and raised my gearing so ill see what it does come may or june.
