I just purchased a engine temp gauge and cooler fins that goes inline with the hoses..
Where is the best place to put these?, on the way to the engine or on the out put to the radiator?

I am guessing the gauge on the out of the motor, and the fins on the inlet to the motor..

How are some of you running these?

Thanks.

Yea, put the gauge on the hose coming off the head going back into the radiator.

i have seen it both ways. i think the right and more accurate way is from the motor to the rad. but a lot of others like to put it from the lower rad to motor just because it fits and looks better on that hose..i would say its up to you though once the motor is up to running temp it should be within a degree or two at either location. and if the engine is over heating it will register at either spot as well... so it will serve its purpose.

I agree with putting between the head and the rad.
That'll give you the best temp of the engine.

I put it where it is easier to read,so it usually goes on the bottom hose for me .

I really does not matter as the temp will be within 5 degrees at most.

Thanks for the info and the picture. Nice set up 1promodfan.

I will install my gauge on the upper hose from the head and the fin on the lower hose for the return to the engine.

Thanks again.
