Re-jetting?

i just got a hmf slip and was wondering if i have to re-jett it or not it kinda pops when i let off the gas if someone could point me in the right direction.oh the quad is stock its a 08ER

have you take the air box lid off? i probably recommend removing it and running an hrc jet kit...

if it pops on decel you might hve a small air leak...if you dont you need to go up on the pliot jet....also check you plug but more than likely with JUST a slip on its about 50/50 whether you need to rejet or not

whyld i need to take the lid off? The plug is new and if i re-jet just go one up from stock?

Taking the lid off will allow more air into the engine. More air = more power. But you have to fatten up your jetting to accomodate for the extra air being used. There's a noticable difference in power between running with lid and no lid. I run the HRC jet kit with no lid, like BadinBlack suggested.
