Post a pic and what you're trying to do and I'll see if I can help you out. The trannies are pretty much the same design for these pit motors in terms of the way they go together.

I had a new crank, put it in last season. we ran it for the last two races. It had a slight chattering sound to it. We ran it anyway, since we had motors ordered. It ran fine, just noisy. pulled the motor out, put it on the shelf, didnt do anything with it for a year. I put it in the neighbors pit bike, fired it up, put it in gear, it would go about 8 ft, and lock up the rear wheel. put it in neutral, shift it up, same thing. I pulled the side cover off, everything looks to be intack, except the shifting mechanizm behind the clutch plates, it seems to be functioning a little strange. i have two more of these motors with broken cranks, so i thought if i could find a book or something to reference to, i could take all these, and make a little kid happy.

Here's a Micro fiche of a Jailing 125 which is basically what the Typhoon 125 is other than the centrifugal clutch setup on the crank. You can use this as a reference. Hope this helps...

My son has a 2 year old Typhoon 125cc that has less than 4 hours on it but the clutch has slipped in 3rd and 4th gear since day one. How can I adjust this or do you think it is kuput? I spoke with a guy at Arizona ATV (Tom) about this, but he said I need a new clutch. Any thoughts, anyone, anyone?

Thanks,
Allen

The stock clutch springs are pretty soft and that causes the clutch to wear pre maturely. Try a set of crf50 or xr50 springs or you can upgarade to race springs. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Two-Brothers-Racing-Heavy-Duty-Clutch-Springs-XR-CRF50-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem563c3ccd95QQitemZ37037 7805205QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
