Found a 2000 Honda accord, has 205,000 miles. Runs great, fully loaded (all electric, leather,, sunroof), new tires. Only $700. But transmission slips when shifting to 2nd, you have to let off gas to let it catch. Should I be able to get this fixed for under $1,500? thanks, neil

I wouldnt see why not. have you looked on ebay to see about the prices on trannys? I know a new tranny for my 01 mustang was around $1300 for the 5spd, i think autos went a little cheaper from what i read

Sounds like its an automatic if you have to let off the gas to let it catch.

correct it is automatic. He said he had the transmission worked on two years ago, so it just needs to be changed. I THINK we found a site that has them for $800 with 6 month warranty
