Wrecked 400ex

I tried to use the search button but nothing came up....

im thinking about buying some new rear tires but not sure on what size and type i want.

i was thinking the iRazrs, Kenda Klaws, and ITP XCR.

I ride mostly woods, trails, and open fields. i want a tire that won't wear fast and has good hook up and don't kill all the power.

Thanks

Maxxis Razrs are a pretty good rear tire set up.

I agree. Razrs. Decent price, hook up good, and last a while. I ride trails, gravel roads, and pastures and they have treated me damn good.

I agree with Razr's; Razr2's if you ride in sloppier terrain and enjoy TONS of traction.

i use razr, but it all depends on the compound u get, i have both soft and hard compounds, and they both ride diffrently even tho there the same make.
i think its razr( mx orange) are soft
and razr ( mx yellow) is hard

I had razr's on my 250, and they lasted for 3 seasons. I had razrs on my 400 for the summer and they are getting close to being gone. I dont rip on the street either. I close to everything. The is this huge sandpit where i ride and there was a section that i couldnt with stock shocks or tires. I got 450r front shocks and i made it probably 15 feet higher than before, it was time for new tires so i got razrs and made it up it the first try. I love the tires, just wish they were a little more durable.

I like Razr IIs for anything other than MX and I run Klaws or Turf Tamers for MX.

If you are riding with the same tires for a year with no wear you aint riding at all. I race harescrambles all year and use gncc's they have the best bite and wear the best and never blow out. I usually go through 2 to 3 rear sets a year

They are a great tire for the muddier races, but the do not have any side bite. Also they will wear real fast.

Razr are a good tire as well as the Razr 2....but the Razr will wear faster.
The Razr2 will last forever.

GBC X-REX better than most....but for the 400 they have a little to much sidebite. If you got a 450 no problem.

GBC GB II has excellent hook up for the 400....a little softer compound

GBC Race Rex is a cross between GB II and the X-REX....perfect combination.

i have irazrs on mine, bought them with abou 50% tread, and i love them. I do mainly trail riding and they are very predictable, they hook up when youw nat them to and slide when you want them to. I think they are great, i would say they wear pretty quick, but i am roads a little more than most people.

I just recently purchased a set of plain old ITP holeshots for the back and at $60 a piece shipped brand new, they are for sure a great tire for the money!

I run razr2's on the front of my 400ex and razrs on the rear. Razrs on the back of a 400ex are better for easier controlled slides with not much lose of traction. Razr 2's on the back of a 400ex are a lil too grippy for its 400cc engine.

The Razr2's are sometimes a bit much for my mild worked 250R...if you're in the mood to spin or slide. But man...when you need tracton, they never deny you.

i ran holeshot xct and they lasted half a season and then i got razr 2 and i did donuts on the road and peeled out with them and still have minimal wear and i had them for twice as long as the holeshots. and i never got stuck with the razrs

I like the ITP GNCC's, Holeshot H-D's, and the Maxxis Razr's for mud, snow, and trail.
