Hey guys,
I'm replacing everything in my back end.
I already have an axle, bearings, bearing carrier, sprocket hub (included with axle), sprocket, and brake pads on the way. However my brake hub (what is the correct name for it?) has LOTS of slop in it. I looked in Lonestar's catalog and they don't sell any Honda "rotor hubs". After a search on the web I still have nothing. Am I missing something? What do you guys replace your brake hubs with, stock?

Any help would be appreciated.

It depends on the axel. My stock break hub fits the Dura blue axel I have but the lock nut wont tighten up on the axel, it needs a spacer. I have a lone star lock nut on it but that come lose all the time. Try e bay and see if you can get a used one. Check the nut and make sure it will work.

So you are using the stock one? I got a Lonestar axcaliber, and they claim all stock components fit. I don't have it in front of me at the moment, so we will have to see.

eBay wants $50.00 for a stock used hub :eek2:

What brand though? I can't find anyone that sells a brake hub, except knock off eBay brands.

Looks like I'm going to order the stock one.

I still find it strange that NOONE makes Honda brake hubs. LsR makes them for Yami and Kawi and Suzuki. But no Honda.

If you have a lone star then try there they have several different ones. The one I have gets loose but maybe some of the others won’t do that. I know my stock one never came loose. Every after market axel maker offers a hub that fits there axel and most will interchange. I just ordered a sprocket hub for mine a few weeks ago from Dura Blue and I had no problem in getting one.

Oh whoa, I'm never knew that those lock-nuts were combined...

But 10 minutes ago I bought a new, stock hub. This marks the 255th dollar that I have spent above my allotted winter budget :scary:

You mean swingarm, shock, axle and basically everything in the rear end, right?

No. Just the rotor, hub, caliper and brake stay.

A good place for OEM Honda parts is www.hondapartspitstop.com.... for future reference if necessary.

Slightly less weight, more ground clearance (about 1/2") and better rear brake control.

I used to have a LSR anti fade on my 250r and never once came loose. I loved it and plan on one for my 400

That sounds plenty good enough for me. Next time around I think I'll go this route instead.
