Calling all ps3 nerds

Long story short, When I bought my tv off of a buddy, he just dropped off a box of things that came with it. Surround sound, receiver, dvd player, maybe 30 cables, some speaker stands, etc etc. Anyways, he also left a ps3. I called him and asked him why he left the ps3 and he said he hadn't played it in over a year, and wasn't even for sure it still worked, so I had what I thought was a broken ps3, ohwell.

Anyways, I just about threw it out this weekend, but I called a buddy and asked him if he would take it and try and get it to turn on, as I had the PS3 only and no cables or controllers for the unit.

Buddy calls me this morning, said he hooked my ps3 into all his cables and has been playing a game all morning.

Sweet, so I have a free ps3.

Problem is, Now I need a power cord, an hdmi core, and 2 controllers right? just a quick search on the internet shows each of the controllers are like 70 bucks, and the cables are probably 10-20 each also. Point I'm trying to make, is I don't want to spend $200 bucks and then find out the machine actually was on its last leg...

Anyone know any cheap places to get those thjings?

yup or try tigerdirect....im not positive and im too lazy to look for you lol but thats another good site for stuff like that. i would think they have ps3 cords and stuff like that.

i decided to look for the controllers for you atleast lol. here are cheap brand controllers they arent the official ps3 controllers. but you can get 3 of them for 28 bucks. or one of them for 14 i think it was. but like i said this is a cheap brand.

After a trip to the barber I think I'm gonna head to a game spot. Dunno if you guys have those they are around indy, but sell used stuff for usually 40-50% off, so hopefully I can get it all ready to go for 50-70 bucks. As far as selling it, sure, don't know what its worth, but pm me an offer although now i'm kinda excited about it.
