I am putting my sons LT 80 back together after rebuilding the top end. I was just wondering if anybody knew if I would need a piston ring compressor to put my cylinder back on with or is the taper at the bottom of the cylinder enough to compress it itself? Thanks for your help in advance.:)
You do not need a tool. Altho you do need to get the rings in the proper position (end gaps on the lil pins) and squeeze them in (with fingers) to let the cylinder slip on.
Remember, arrow toward the exhaust.
100 inch pounds on the head nuts.
