Time to upgrade my rear shock. Who still makes MX worthy rear shocks for stock linkage 250Rs?

Custom Axis motocross rear shock for stock linkage

86-87 PS-502S-H250MX86-R

88-89 PS-502S-H250MX88-R

Retail price is $795 each. About the best shock you can buy.

Still looking at options, but I am leaning toward the AXIS shock. I've never heard anything bad about one.

I don't know about MX worthy,

but Elka makes them - Ohlins may still and PEP. I think PEP can redo your stock one and make it almost as good as an aftermarket.

I agree with pep rebuild of a stocker. I've had it done to one my self
And the difference noticeable. Tcs makes a 250r rear as well, I had one
of those too

Well I would sure hope you would notice if you had your stock 20+ year old shock rebuilt by PEP!

I just got an Axis to replace an Elka stock rebuild and the difference is night and day.
