Remove the gas tank, the valve cover, the little circular cover on the left side of the motor and the smaller one above it. Under the bigger cover get a 17 mm socket put it on turn it counter clockwise. While looking into the smaller hole for a T its preatty small so watch for it, now get a fealer gauge and test the intakes to ensure that their 15 to 20 thousandths and the exhausts 20 to 30 thousandths if either are out of spec remove the cam chain tensioner on the right side of the motor. Remove which ever cam cap has the tight gapping and remove the cam take note of where the cam is set at. Then get a magnet and take off the chrome valve springs caps and get the shim beneath and when your done torque the cam caps to 89 inch pounds and the valve cover to 124 inch pounds

Don't you mean mm for the valve clearance?
Which works out to .0039"-.0078" for intake
.0078"-.0118" for exhaust..

Well it looks like .020 on my feeler gauge for intake and .030 for exhaust and it always works but you could be right
