Someone told me that if you put Stock 250R front shocks on 400EX it improves handling. Is that true?

I might have missed it earlier if posted, but how much are the 300's shocks? I have heard that they bolt right up to my 250, if that is true, I think I am interested.

I also have 250R front shocks for sale and I think they make the 400ex or 300ex smoother because the coil spring dampens different.
