Dumb question about the spindle swap

I'm just curious to see if anybody has swapped out their spindles on the 06-newer models with something besides the 04-05 spindles. I have a complete Z400 frontend I was thinking of trying. But if somebody has already tried it, save me the trouble and tell me!:D

04-05 spindles and hubs is what you want. However, there was a guy saying that the 700xx spindles and hubs could be made to work...

Yea, but I think Im gonna try the Z400 spindles and hubs just for the hell of it. Im only gonna know if I try it.
