Need some tips on splitting the cases on a drr90...any tips?

strip it down and use a pulley puller on the crank and the sides and they will "pop" apart!!! if you dont have one autozone and places like that usually rent them for a deposit they give back when you return it!!!

ok...thank you...how about removing the stator? Stuck there right now...special tool?

you need a puller for that. I believe it is the same one as a honda 250r.

I do know for a fact its the same as a Yamaha Blaster puller. Just trying to help.

your both right puller is 250r blaster lt250r lots of 2 stroke it cost 10 bucks

Alot of the time you can also use a 3-way steering wheel puller as well, in pinch. You can also get one of those at a auto parts store.
