Clanking Noise

Hey everyone, for some wierd reason today i noticed a weird clanking noise while taking my 400 about a mile on street to my friends house. You can only really notice it if you get high in your low gears 1-3 and really hit it, but it doesnt sound normal from my presspective and ive never heard it before. Anyone has any help please help me.

Check the rear skid plate if you have one

there should be a plastic piece called a chain guide, its known to come off and make a loud clanking noise

the way your describing the it makes me think some thing internal so start with pulling your cam chain tensioner and check for damage thats an easy place to start
